Change Your Subconscious Beliefs in Minutes with PSYCH-K

How to Reprogram Your
Subconscious Mind

"Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny."
- Mahatma Gandhi

by Rita Soman, PSYCH-K Practitioner

You've done the talk therapy. You've done affirmations, positive thinking and read all the self-help books. Willpower too often seems like 'won't power.' You're still not where you want to be.

The only thing left out is your subconscious: the part of your mind that stores the beliefs programmed during your childhood. Beliefs that may be imprisoning you as an adult.

You possess the power to make your dreams come true. This power to create and make wishes come true lies in the powerful subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is directive, but not creative. It has limited power. It's primary function is to express your desires...your wishes to the subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is where most of the action takes place. Whatever idea you put into the subconscious and hold to be true will manifest itself as an experience in your life.

The 'Real Secret'
Studies in neuroscience show that we set goals using approximately 5 percent of our consciousness, while the subconscious mind, which makes up around 95 percent of our consciousness, houses outdated beliefs that can sabotage our goals. The processing capacity of the conscious mind is at 40 bits of information per second, compared to the 40 million bits per second of the subconscious mind. If the conscious mind desires a goal the subconscious mind disagrees with, guess which mind usually wins the contest!

There is a direct connection between your thoughts and your body's chemistry. As we transform the disharmonious programming with our thoughts and mind, our body then produces the healing chemistry that matches our beliefs and we move into life-affirming experiences.

Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind
There is a process called PSYCH-K (psychological, having to do with the psyche: mind, soul, spirit and kinesiology) where you can learn how to unleash the power within you and create a life that reflects the very best you. PSYCH-K is an amazingly efficient and effective method to re-program the subconscious mind.

PSYCH-K is a simple and powerful process that engages the 90% of the mind many tranformaitonal processes entirely ignore; it even affects the way DNA expresses itself.

How Does PSYCH-K Work?
While our birthright is the natural ability to operate simultaneously out of both sides of the brain, life experiences often trigger a dominance of one side over the other when responding to specific situations. Using PSYCH-K techniques, a kind of "mental keyboard" to your own brain, you can increase "cross talk" between the two brain hemispheres, thereby achieving a more "whole-brained" state, which is ideal for changing subconscious beliefs. Researchers say that true creativity actually occurs when both sides of the brain are working in collaboration.

PSYCH-K is a powerful tool for "moving "ideas from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind where they can become new habits of thought and behavior. It isn't about choosing for people what to believe, but rather helping them to congruently believe what they choose. When the conscious and subconscious minds are in agreement, magic happens!

Beyond 50's Mystery Shopper

Secret Shopper

If you missed the big event, we've got it covered. Beyond 50 is always on the lookout for what's trendy, unique and innovative. Here's our
"Best of Show" finds:

Northwest Pet & Companion Fair
It was a zoo there! Every imaginable type of dog (that couldn't wait to get in) walked through the door with their owner. One person brought their long snake wrapped around its neck, an occasional bird on the shoulder, and a ferret went in to visit. It was interesting to see that the people of Nepal in the Himalayans make their own dog chew out of yak and cow milk. One vendor offered to find out your dog's breed through DNA testing. There was even a super-drink for pets to slow down aging from free radicals.

When it comes to feeding your dog, have you tried chickpeas with spirulina and chia seeds? How about an exotic mix of pheasant, bison, elk, and salmon with an herb mix?

If your home smells from pet urine or odor, no problem. There is a natural (non-toxic) way to deal with it. You can even spray this on the offensive smelling animal, like a skunk directly. But if it's a messy floor, there is such a thing as a really quiet vacuum that's 5X more powerful than an upright. What's great too is that it won't recirculate the dust. And, don't forget to wash your hands with a gritty and dry organic soap mix made of coconut after handling your pet. It's such a tough cleaner, you can even clean your bathroom with it.

Coach Carl Casanova: The SMAART Model for Putting Goals Into Action

The SMARRT Model for Putting Goals Into Action

*The following is an excerpt from Coach Carl Casanova's book, "What Every Successful Person Knows! Six Steps to Awakening Success in Your Life." He is the founder of a coaching school called The Centre in Portland, Oregon.

The S.M.A.R.R.T. system will help you put goals into action.
S.M.A.R.R.T. stand for:
S: Specific. Goals must be specific and well defined.
M: Measureable. Goals must be measurable.
A: Action. Goals must be realistic and attainable.
R: Realistic. Goals must be realistic and attainable.
R: Resources. Goals must assess money, energy, associates, etc.
T: Time. Goals must have a strong consideration of time elements.

Experienced goal setters have a working system and live on paper. They take small manageable steps and progress strategically. They write out on paper daily, weekly, monthly goals. They have a ledger, journal, or goal-setting notepad with their quarterly goals, twelve month goals, three year goals, five year goals, and ten year goals.

The list of goals to work on often comes from the eight components of a life balance wheel. There are various types of life balance listings. There are the specific ones I use, which are listed in this format: 1. mental, 2. emotional, 3. financial, 4. life work, 5. social, 6. health, 7. relationship, and 8. spiritual. Within each balance component create levels of assessments. Create a scale from 1 to 10. Draw a line and mark on the left end 0 and on the right end a 10, find the middle and mark a 5. Do a self evaluation on your life in each balance component. Assess...If you are low, develop a plan and set goals to get higher. We can have a great life and be successful. Fall in love with Goal Setting. Start with your daily goals, today.

A "Green Drink" Recipe for You

Beyond 50 is an avid follower of Victoria Boutenko, a raw foods expert. For over 6-months, we've been drinking green, leafy vegetables by blending them with water, other vegetables and fruits. Our health has definitely improved!

Within Victoria's book, "Green for Life," she wrote about conducting a Roseburg Study (in Roseburg, Oregon) of 27 volunteers who agreed to drink one quart of "green smoothies" every day, along with their usual diet for one month. Many had experienced a wide range of benefits such as a more alkaline body, higher level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach for better digestion, weight loss, less craving for unhealthy foods, better bowel movement, more energy, sleep better, skin condition improved, and much more.

Try "Green Benevolence"
Blend Well in a Regular Blender:
6 to 8 leaves of Romaine lettuce
1 cup of red grapes
1 medium orange
1 banana
2 cups water
Yields: 1 quart of smoothie

When Making "Green Drinks"
1. Keep the drinks in cool temperatures for up to three days, which can be handy at work and while traveling.
2. Use a wide variety of greens. Try to get a hold of as many different greens as you can. If you continue to use the same greens, you can expect to lose your desire for green smoothies.

Scientist of the Soul, Part II

Scientist of the Soul, Part II
by Gary Zukav for Beyond 50

My initial reservation about discussing authentic power and the soul in the same context as quantum physics was giving the impression that science can prove the existence of the soul or nonphysical reality. It is futile to imagine that any five-sensory inquiry (such as empirical science, including quantum physics) can prove the existence of nonphysical reality, and therefore, the existence of Divine Intelligence and your soul because the lesser cannot demonstrate the existence of the greater. Mathematicians would say that a subset cannot be used to prove the existence of the set. Yet nonphysical reality, the soul, and the living Universe of wisdom and compassion are becoming part of the human experience for millions of individuals as humanity transits beyond the limitations of the five senses.

My concern was that those who are yet depending upon others, such as preachers, peers, politicians, and parents to validate their experiences would leap at the possibility that experts, such as physicists or anthropologists, could validate beliefs that they want validated, rather than validating them (or not) through their own experiences.

Authentic power is the alignment of your personality with your soul, and your soul cannot be quantified (measured), bottled, or put on display (except by you as humbleness, forgiveness, clarity, and love become characteristics of your personality). It is not observable, much less demonstrable, by empirical means. Proving the existence of nonphysical reality is as impossible as proving the existence of God. Nonetheless, there are numerous effective and engaging ways to use the concepts of quantum mechanics (not the results of quantum mechanical experiments) to illustrate authentic power, how very different it is from our previous understanding of power, and what is necessary to create it.

The scientist of the soul is a new kind of scientist that the new multi-sensory human consciousness makes possible. It is a scientist who explores her experiences, both collective and individual, with courage and the clear intention to free herself from her fears, cultivate her love, and give the gifts that she was born to give. The physics of the soul requires exploring in meaningful and verifiable ways the fundamental connection between intention and experience, and makes each of us responsible and grateful contributors to Life. It is a science that seeks not validate concepts in the old way, but to reveal the effectiveness and power of awareness and conscious choice, and how to use them in the most constructive and healthy ways possible.

Coach Carl Casanova: Myths Vs. Truth About Coaching

Carl Casanova: Myths vs. Truths About Coaching

The following is an excerpt from the new book by Carl Casanova called "What Every Successful Person Knows!"

1. Myth: Focus on fixing people
Truth: Coaches operate from a philosophy that people are resourceful, whole, and capable. People don't need to be fixed. Coaches do not enable or rescue; they empower. Coaches are a champion for their people and co-create with their clients for their success.

2. Myth: Focus on feedback
Truth: Coaching requires that coaches master the art of asking powerful questions that lead clients or employees to their answers. The belief is that the answer is within. Coaches ask open-ended questions, empowering language, and methodologies to move clients toward outcomes. We teach people how to fish versus giving them a fish.

3. Myth: Focus on feelings
Truth: Coaching is to deepen the learning both mentally and emotionally. People are multi-dimensional. We help individuals be wise and understand how to be emotionally intelligent. The process is for deep self-awareness and the creation of effective action steps for success.

4. Myth: Focus on fu fu
Truth: Education is paramount for the student of coaching. it is important that the prospective client ask where the coach got their training and/or certification. An academic school or program is best. The ICF is the governing body of all coaching schools. For a coach, knowing the core competencies of coaching from an ICF accredited school is vital. Coaching is a powerful language and methodology to be taught by professional teachers in the field.

5. Myth: Focus on only financial gain
Truth: Coaching is a calling for those who coach others. It is also a service. We call it being in the wisdom business. It's a business that brings individuals (serious about success) in alignment with what they are seeking. We work with people nationally and internationally. Coaches customize their services with their prospective clients. The phone and face to face are ways to bring our services forward. There is a large return on our investments for those that hire a seasoned coach.

Scientist of the Soul, Part I

Scientist of the Soul, Part I
by Gary Zukav for Beyond 50

A scientist is a seeker of truth. For millennia, the truth of human experience lay outside, in the world around us, and that is what scientists discovered.

Now an enormous and unprecedented transformation in the human experience is underway. Our perception is expanding beyond the limitations of the five senses. We are becoming aware of ourselves as more than bodies and minds, molecules and enzymes. We are becoming aware of our lives as purposeful and our experiences as meaningful. Our focus is shifting from exploration of the outside world to the exploration of interior experiences and their relationships with the outside world. This is the new frontier of human inquiry, and all seekers of truth are being drawn to it.

The new frontier is the nonphysical reality of love and compassion, wisdom, and authentic power - the alignment of the personality with the soul. It is understanding the dynamics - now made visible by our expanded perception - that underlie physical appearances, sustain them, and make it possible to change them permanently (such as the war, starvation, and brutality that pervade our collective experience and the anger, fear, jealousy, and power struggles that pervade our individual experiences.

The new frontier challenges us to leave behind the comfortable and familiar self-image as victims of our lives - always praying for the best, hoping to avoid bad luck and hoping to be blessed by good luck - and replace it with a new and more accurate self-image of creators of our experiences. Exploration of the new frontier is an inquiry into self-mastery - the use of emotions to discover the sources of our painful experiences and destructive behaviors and the conscious use of intention to change them. It is also the use of emotions to discover the sources of our blissful experiences and constructive behaviors and the conscious use of intention to cultivate them.

Scientists of the soul are seekers of truth in this domain, courageous, intelligent, open, and always willing to experiment.

Years after I wrote "The Dancing Wu Li Masters: An Overview of the New Physics," I discovered that the concepts of quantum physics can be used, and wonderfully used, to explain authentic power and how to create it. My spiritual partner, Linda Francis, and I began experimenting with a workshop called "Scientist of the Soul." After giving several them, with great success, we shifted our attention to other ways of presenting authentic power in a workshop format, however, the attraction of using the concepts of quantum physics to explain authentic power has returned to me even more strongly.
